Skye
The Isle of Skye was recently voted the 4th best island in the world by National Geographic magazine.
I first visited Skye in 1970 and didn’t then return until 2008 when I had just taken up landscape photography but, hadn’t got to grips with using my new DSLR camera! At the beginning of October 2011 we spent a week in the NE of the island, in Staffin, and then the second week was at Elgol; somewhere that I’d long wanted to visit for more than a few hours!
The Isle of Skye has a wealth of different and interesting geographic features and, in those two weeks, I concentrated on the Trotternish area and the Cuillin. No doubt I shall be back sometime to explore more of the island!
