I am a landscape photographer from County Durham and, since being retired, have had more time for taking photos, developing a personal style and expanding my photographic skills. I love the ever changing light in the landscape and am particularly drawn to the colours around sunrise and sunset, as well as the patterns and texture to be found in water, such as lakes, streams or the sea.
However, I am disabled; sometimes using sticks but, more usually, a wheelchair, and therefore, one of the big challenges is to find suitable locations to access and take photos.
I rely on my husband as he carries the tripod and pushes me in the wheelchair!
I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society as well as the Disabled Photographers Society and, have successfully been awarded a "Licentiateship" by both organisations - LRPS and LDPS.
