I'm a landscape photographer from County Durham. I'm particularly drawn to the colours, shapes, patterns and textures found in the landscapes of the North Pennines.
However, I'm disabled; occasionally using sticks but more usually, a wheelchair, and so, one of the big challenges is to find suitable locations to access and take photos. I often take them sitting in the car!
I rely on my husband as he carries the tripod and pushes me in the wheelchair!
I'm a member of the Royal Photographic Society as well as the Disabled Photographers Society and, have achieved a "Licentiateship" with both organisations - LRPS and LDPS. I had an image, "Saltburn Sunrise" on display in The Baltic Centre for Art during 2021 and during June and July 2022 was part of the RPS Landscape Group's outdoor exhibition which was also on display by Southwark Cathedral during January 2023. I've had images on display at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography and Bonnie and Wild in Edinburgh. If there's anything you would like to discuss, please do contact me.
